About Us

ONNOA is born from my concern to do things better, from the dream of creating a brand which goal is not selling more, but the satisfaction of helping in the transition towards a sustainable future.

ONNOA comes from the Hawaiian "Honua", which means Earth. The concept "Màlama Honua" is translated as "taking care of our island Earth" and it means taking care and protecting everything that is part of our planet: land, oceans, living beings, our cultures and our communities. Being aware that our resources are limited. That’s the heart of ONNOA.

ONNOA borns on April 22, 2020, International Mother Earth Day. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of this day, which was established to create a common awareness of the problems of overpopulation, the production of pollution, the conservation of biodiversity and other environmental concerns to protect the Earth. It is a day to pay tribute to our planet and recognize Earth as our home and mother.

We design and manufacture our shoes in local artisan workshops in Elda (Alicante), using, for each and everyone of its components, the highest quality natural and upcycledmaterials available at the moment.

We are a slowfashion brand, so we try to design timeless products with a long use life.

COMMITMENT

Our commitment and criteria when making decisions is to produce the most sustainable possible product, without minimize design and quality of our products. Positioning our brand at the same level as the best but not sustainable products on the market.

ONNOA borns from day 1 committed to climate change. We offset more than 100% of our emissions.
